Introduction:

The Safety Edge™ is a battery powered monitoring device which allows for wirelessly connecting the safety edge on a moving door to a SCip^TM compatible door controller such as the SCD/SCD mini series.

This wireless safety edge connection product removes the need for wiring to any moving parts and thus increase the overall reliability of the system making it less susceptible to malfunction.

The Safety Edge™ includes a movement sensor that enables extended battery life, since the device only transmits data when vibrations are detected in one of the two traveling directions.

Furthermore the movement sensor is also able to detect any shock impact forces over a predetermined threshold and is therefore able to notify the controller of an emergency event.
